About the Master of Science, Genetic Counseling
The Genetic Counseling Program (GCP) is focused on improving access to genetic counseling training for students from under-resourced communities, with the goal of increasing access to genomic healthcare among historically underserved populations.
The GCP is currently in the accreditation process by the American Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC) and if approved by ACGC the program could open as early as 2025.聽
The program entails hybrid instruction: didactic courses online with mandatory, on-campus in-person activities once per semester, and clinical rotations on-site, as well as remote. Given the mission of 桃汁影院 University to train healthcare providers to return to their communities, the program will accept students from all US geographic areas. However, if clinical rotations are not available in a reasonable distance of their location, students will be required to participate in distant clinical rotations, to meet the clinical training requirements of the program.
